I used to get annoyed, and get on my introverted high horse, around people who could hit it off with others quickly.

 

Then I became one of those people. *sigh*

 

In my defense, I was a newspaper reporter when it happened. Newspaper reporters deal with different individuals every day, so we have to establish rapport quickly and keep our awkwardness under wraps in a new crowd. Developing these skills was self-defense, really.
